Reigner Bethune began dancing at age 10 under the instruction of Andrei Yemelianov. Bethune's performances include ballets such as The Nutcracker, Giselle, Rite of Spring, Romeo and Juliet, and Erick Hawkin's Kite Tales. A native of Chesapeake VA, Bethune has been a guest artist for Virginia Ballet Theatre, the Virginia Opera, and Carolina Ballet. He joined Todd Rosenlieb Dance, a modern dance company in Norfolk, and Pensacola Ballet as a principal dancer under Richard Steinert.

Bethune taught full time for 2 years at Greenville Civic Ballet while dancing with their preprofessional company in Greenville NC. Additionally, Bethune trained with Ballet West, Valentina Kozlova's Dance Conservatory of New York, Ballet Magnificat, Pittsburgh Ballet, and Burklin Ballet. Bethune joined Carolina Ballet in 2014, serving as stage manager, ballet master, and guest performer.
