Sayward is an Adjunct Faculty at Appalachian State University where she teaches ballet and modern. In 2016, she received a MFA in Choreography at Jacksonville University-White Oak. She earned a dual-BFA in Dance Performance and Dance Education from East Carolina University.

Sayward was a member of Sarasota Contemporary Dance and was the former Education Director for Sarasota Ballet. She was a featured choreographer for Emergence produced by The Triangle Dance Project and choreographed for North Carolina Dance Festival. While pursuing her MFA, she started the successful dance studio SG Ballet in Boone.

NCDI is so happy to welcome Sayward back home to Raleigh. She is a caring teacher for young dancers and knowledgeable instructor for our more advanced dancers. Sayward is happy to return to private studio teaching and making NCDI her new home .
