Zakiya is a woman who never stops moving! She graduated from the prestigious Florida State University School of Visual Arts and Dance and was awarded a scholarship to the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York.
After receiving a BFA degree in dance and a minor in business, Zakiya explored the world of sports entertainment. She was invited to join the NBA Atlanta Hawks dance team eventually becoming a team captain, choreographer, and coach for the Jr. Hawks. This experience would lead to the venture that kickstart her own company Z Pro Prep®; an intensive training camp for Pro NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB teams as dancers and cheerleaders.
Zakiya moved to Los Angeles where she filmed three national commercials, two films, and a television show. She was the executive producer and sold her first television pilot to E! Entertainment. Her many years of performing have taken her to St. Petersburg, Russia; Prague, Czech Republic; Monterrey, Mexico; Taipei, Taiwan, and various cities in China.
Currently, Zakiya is expanding Z Pro Prep® into multiple cities. With placements on professional sports teams such as the Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Panthers, LA Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, and NY Jets, Z is determined to reach as many women as possible to encourage and uplift all by spreading the message that "You Are Enough!"
