The
NCDI Drama program will strive to educate students in acting
principles and performance skills for both theatre and film.
Students will develop these skills through scene work, focus
and relaxation exercises, skits, improvisation techniques,
preparing and presenting monologues, and acting games. There
will also be an emphasis on theatre etiquette and movement
for actors as well as knowledge of classic films and plays.
Students will also develop the necessary skills needed for
auditions in both theatre and film. Students will have a deeper
understanding of theatre arts and how to utilize his/her own
unique creativity, talent, and experiences.
Workshops
are held periodically through the year.
