Melody Staples
Classical Ballet
Melody Staples danced professionally for five seasons with Charleston Ballet Theatre. Her company highlights include Twyla Tharp’s Bakers Dozen, principal roles in George Balanchine’s Rubies and Who Cares?, and in the role of Cinderella for Jill Eathorne Bahr’s Cinderella.
Melody is originally from Asheville, NC. She graduated on scholarship and as the recipient of the Van Lewis Award from the Virginia School of the Arts. She has also danced with the Milwaukee Ballet Company, Columbia Classical Ballet, and Ballet Quad-Cities. Melody is a great addition to NCDI Ballet faculty and will lead our ballet program with great energy.
